Though I have not yet started the engine, these are clearly very high-quality lifters. I'm more than happy with the quality.
However, I bought these specifically because of their supposed "Easy drop in design, no machine work to block required." NOT true. I had to spend a couple of hours doing considerable grinding in the lifter valley (factory 340 block) to get them to "drop in"--exactly what I was trying to avoid in the first place. That's machine work in my book.
The small picture in the ad is apparently a generic photo, not the actual TEV lifters.
If you are looking for TRUE drop-in lifters, keep shopping.

I bought the latest and greatest roller cam from hotheads (cracklefeast) When i recived it i found it was a crane cam (didentknow when ordered) but thats fine. When i wanted to get the solid roller lifters they were crazy expensive...thats when i contacted Doug Herbert..wish i had them do the cam!!! great quality product!!!!!!!
